How ChatMeet Compares Video Chat Services

First, who is writing

ChatMeet is a video chat service, and the comparisons on this site are published by ChatMeet itself. We are a brand publisher, not an independent review outlet. We have an obvious interest in you choosing ChatMeet, and you should weigh everything here with that in mind — the same way you'd read any company's own comparison page.

What we can control is how we make the case: stick to checkable facts, cite them, admit uncertainty, and never invent the numbers that would make us look good. That's what the rest of this page is for.

Where our information comes from

Every factual claim about another service traces back to one of these source types — nothing else:

  • Official product websites and feature pages
  • Apple App Store and Google Play listings
  • Official help centers and support documentation
  • Publicly posted pricing pages

We don't use anonymous "user reports," scraped review scores, or competitor blogs as evidence. If a claim only exists on a site that sells a rival product, it doesn't count.

House rules

  1. No invented numbers.

    If a figure isn't in a public source we can cite, it doesn't go on the page.

  2. No fake scores.

    We don't hand out star ratings or "9.2/10" verdicts. There is no lab behind them, so there is no score.

  3. No fake market share.

    We don't claim any service — ours included — "leads the market" without published data to back it.

  4. No unsourced download statistics.

    Download counts come from store listings or official statements, cited by name, or they don't appear at all.

  5. No invented user percentages.

    "87% of users prefer…" is marketing fiction unless a cited study produced it. We don't write it.

What we do when we're not sure

Public documentation has gaps — pricing tiers that aren't posted, features that vary by region, store listings that change. When we hit one, the page says "Not clearly stated in public documentation." right where the fact would go. We don't fill gaps with plausible guesses, and we don't quietly drop the dimension to make a page read cleaner.
