Good conversations need clear ground rules
ChatMeet is a video chat service for adults, and safety here isn't a disclaimer at the bottom of the page — it's a set of tools and rules you should actually know about before your first call. Here's all of it, plainly.
Adults only — 18+
ChatMeet is strictly for adults. You must be 18 or older to use the service, full stop. If you encounter anyone you believe is under 18, report them immediately through the in-app report tool — that's one of the reports we treat as most urgent.
Report & block, built into every call
You never need a reason or anyone's permission. Use the in-app report and block tools the moment a conversation turns wrong — they take seconds, they work immediately, and blocking means that person can't reach you again. Reports are reviewed by our team, and repeated or serious reports lead to accounts being restricted or removed.
What "private" means in a private call
A private call on ChatMeet is a two-person conversation: just you and her, with no audience and no other participants. "Private" describes the setting — one conversation, two people — so still treat anything you show or say on camera as something the other person can see and remember. The details of how your data is handled live in the privacy policy.
Moderation, honestly stated
Reports are reviewed, and accounts that break the rules lose access. No platform can promise to catch everything before it happens — anyone who tells you otherwise is marketing. What we can promise is that reporting works, it's taken seriously, and your own tools (block, report, hang up) are instant and always available.
The five habits that matter most
Platform tools are half the picture. The other half is a handful of habits that experienced video chat users run automatically: keeping identifying details out of the frame, never sharing financial information, recognizing money-request scripts, blocking without hesitation, and leaving any call that feels off — no explanation owed.
